WHAT IS Widnes Enhanced Access Service?
Widnes Enhanced Access Service is an additional hour’s service, giving patients who are registered with a GP Practice in Halton, more opportunities to see a clinician at a time that suits them.
Our opening hours are:
Monday – Friday 6.30pm – 9pm and Saturday 9am – 5pm (times may be subject to variation)
Widnes Enhanced Access Service clinics are held at the Highfield Hospital, Highfield Road, Widnes, WA8 7DJ
HOW CAN I GET A Widnes Enhanced
Access Service APPOINTMENT?
Appointments can be made by contacting your own GP Practice.
NOTE: Between Monday- Friday 6:30-9pm and Saturday between 9am-5pm appointments can be made by calling a member of the Widnes Enhanced Access service team on 0151 495 5479, but please be aware this phone line is only manned during the specified times above.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A Widnes Enhanced Access Service Clinic?
The appointment will be the same as when you see a clinician at your own GP Practice.
You will have the opportunity to discuss your symptoms and ask questions.
The clinician will give you advice and/or prescribe medication depending on the outcome of the assessment

CHAPERONE SERVICE AVAILABLE
Let us know if you’d like a chaperone at your Widnes Enhanced Access consultation when you book your appointment. We’ll do our best to provide a formal chaperone, but if we can’t, we’ll reschedule for another time as necessary.
